Video Of Slain Florida Couple Shows Final Struggle

PENSACOLA, Fla. (AP) - Grainy surveillance video shows a Florida
couple known for adopting special needs children struggling with
armed intruders minutes before their death.
Reporters were shown the video Thursday at the prosecutor's
office under a compromise reached by the media and the survivors of
Byrd and Melanie Billings, who were killed in their sprawling
Florida Panhandle home.
The shadowy, time-lapsed video taken by the home's surveillance
system shows Byrd Billings putting his arms in the air as armed men
enter the living room. Melanie Billings grabs what appears to be a
child protectively.
A judge allowed the media to view but not copy or distribute the
video.
Six men and a 16-year-old charged as an adult have pleaded not
guilty to first-degree murder in last month's slayings.
