ARF Puts Spotlight On Cats

Mobile's Animal Rescue Foundation, or ARF, is letting you try it before you buy it. The animal-centric charity held a special "interactive" cat adoption today, 8/15/2009. Most of the cats were allowed out of their kennels for the event. Prospective families could get to know the felines before deciding whether or not to adopt. ARF members say they're putting the focus on cat adoptions for the rest of August.

“We have almost triple the recommended capacity at our facility and we wanted to get them out and find loving homes for them,” says Adoptions Coordinator Lynn Carter. There are special discounts on cat adoptions this month. The Animal Rescue Foundation will have cat adoptions for the next two Saturdays in August. On 8/22/2009 from 10 am to 2 pm they will have a “Fat Cat” adoption at the PetSmart in Mobile. On 8/29/2009 from 10 am to 2 pm there will be another adoption at the entrance to the Target store in Bel Air Mall.
