Mobile County Schools Deal With Swine Flu

Parents are being asked to take steps to help reduce the spread of the virus.

Some Mobile County schools are dealing with cases of the Swine Flu.

School health officials made the announcement this afternoon. On Monday, face masks and hand sanitizer will be distributed throughout area schools to those with flu like symptoms
Parents are being asked to keep their children home if they start showing signs of the virus.

"Most of the time children, especially, will transmit the virus 2 days before they get sick and 2 days after they start showing symptoms,"Said Dr. Wanda Hannon with the Mobile County School System.

The school system is putting together a list of schools affected by the Swine Flu. They plan to distribute the list next week.
