A Pensacola teenager wants to make sure a fallen marine is never forgotten. That's why for his Eagle Scout project, 17-year-old Gabe Roberson decided to build a memorial in honor of Staff Sergeant Daniel Clay and all the other men and women who have died fighting for our country. Roberson was friends with the Marine from Pensacola who was killed fighting in Iraq in 2005. Roberson says the memorial will cost 8-thousand dollars to build, that's why he needs donations to make the project a reality, "we idolize spots stars, you know, entertainers, you know with Michael Jackson just a couple of weeks ago, we idolize them and put them on a pedestal, but, really they're not the ones out there protecting us and I really think Staff Sergeant Daniel Clay really embodies a true American hero," said Roberson. Roberson wants to put the memorial in front of Booker T. Washington High School in Pensacola, where Clay was once a student. Roberson also goes to Washington. To find out more about donating to Roberson's memorial project you can email him at groberson@cox.net
