Chef's Death Mysterious

A mysterious death investigation is underway to determine how a popular Pensacola chef died.

57 year old Carlos Hard went missing Sunday. He was least seen leaving his house on Bay Meadows Drive. His wife says he had gone outside to check on a noise and never came back.

Authorities began searching nearby woods and water. His body was found floating in Soldiers Creek Monday morning. Hard was top chef at Jackson's Steakhouse. Investigators do not suspect foul play, but they are not ruling anything out.
"You know it could be an accident, it could be he fell off a bridge. It could be a suicide. There's no indication of that so far but we just don't know,"Said Detective Troy Brown with the Escambia County Sheriff's Office.

The Escambia County Sheriff's Office says it could take up to 90 days to get autopsy results. Funeral arrangements are pending.
