Hundreds of children from across the Gulf Coast will have the school supplies they need thanks to Tri-Coastal Community Outreach and the people who have donated to their cause.
For weeks, they've been gathering school supplies to families who can't afford to buy them.
Program Director Carolyn Thompson says they saw many unemployed parents during their giveaway.
Organizers say they gave out supplies to some 625 families Saturday at their main office at 10520 Highway 188 in Grand Bay.
They say they'll be at it again Monday morning at 9:00am.
Donations are still welcomed. You can contact the Tri-Coastal Community Outreach at (251) 865-9731.
