Carnival has cancelled their stops in Mexico for now, but passengers are still ready for their get away!
Mendy Tanner with Springdale Travel says more people are trying to book on the new cruise itinerary to Key West.
"They are very excited that they are going to Key West and are doing a day in a port. They were most concerned that they would do a cruise to nowhere, where actually they did get a port of call."
After all the commotion this morning over the arriving passengers and swine flu, the outbreak was the last thing on passengers minds departing this afternoon.
Shelli Nicholas says her parents are on the cruise. They are not going to let the change in destination ruin their vacation.
"They're excited just about going on the cruise, so they'll make the best of it."
Kevin Mclaughin had this trip planned for months. He is not upset, just ready to go. "As long as i'm going somewhere it doesn't matter."
He also had no concern over swine flu. "You can get it here just like you can get it anywhere else."
The Holiday returns from this trop Monday and will leave that afternoon on a five day cruise with stops in Key West and Freeport in the Bahamas. If passengers want to reschedule their trip, Carnival will give them credit to use on a cruise between now and the end of next year.
