Sister of Fairhope murder victim Louise Warrick talks about loss

Family members and friends of three people shot and killed by a recently released prisoner in Fairhope are still grieving. On Saturday, police say Bill Wood went to a home in the Barnwell community and opened fire inside the residence. James Tucker and his grandparents, Jesse and Louise Warrick, died inside the home. Wood's estranged wife, Melonie, was also shot in the rampage. She's expected to survive.

"She was a good person, so sweet," says Shirley Brown, Louise Warrick's sister. "She'd never hurt anybody."

Brown says Wood, who was eventually shot and killed by police in Mobile Sunday following a high-speed chase, wanted revenge and was out for payback.

"His son was accidentally hit and killed by a car in front of this house recently," says Brown. "But they didn't do anything. It wasn't their fault. Why kill innocent people?"

Fairhope Police Chief Terry Sanders says revenge could be a motive.

"He died with a lot of that in his head. We don't know exactly why he did it."
