Police are searching for a man who sexually assaulted a student at Pensacola Junior College.
The attack happened around 12:30 Wednesday afternoon in a campus bathroom.
The 18-year-old female victim reported the attack to police, and she was taken to a local hospital.
"We're not clear whether he was hiding in the bathroom or if he followed her in," says Gael Frazer, a spokesperson for the college. "She went in to use the bathroom, and the next thing she knows the assailant was on her."
Students and faculty were alerted of the incident through campus email and a mobile phone alert.
Shortly after the attack, two men were questioned by police, but both were released.
The victim described the attacker as a black male in his late teens or early twenties. He has braided hair and was last seen wearing a long, white t-shirt and dark pants.
At least two other students reported encountering a man on campus Wednesday matching the same description. One student said the man was abrasive and demanded her phone number, but she refused.
Anyone with information should call Pensacola police.
