Juvenile Shot To Death

8:10 p.m.
Mobile police say that the victim is identified as 15-year old Markel Anderson. Authorities say that upon arrival at the Community Center, police discovered Anderson suffering from a single gunshot wound to his upper torso.

Investigators say that Anderson was congregating with several others in front of the Michael Figures Community Center when a small vehicle carrying several people drove past the crowd. That's when police say someone in the vehicle fired several shots at the crowd striking Anderson. The vehicle then fled the area North on Donald Street.

7:45 p.m.
Mobile police say around 5:45 p.m. Friday evening they received a call of one shot at the Figures Community Center on Donald street, that's in the Toulminville community. Police found a juvenile suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was then transported to USA Medical Center and was later pronounced dead.

Police are still on the scene and are calling the shooting a homicide. They are not releasing the name or age of the juvenile and have not made any arrests at this time. Stay tuned to WKRG News 5 and WKRG.com for the latest updates on this developing story.
