First Dog's First Day

First Dog's First Day

Obama family's new dog, "Bo", to make White House debut today.

WASHINGTON (AP) - It's Bo-mania day at the White House.

President Barack Obama is well aware of the massive international interest in the new pooch -- promised to his young
daughters the night of his history-making election.

The First Family's new dog is making his official debut today and the White House has arranged a picture-taking session for the
6-month-old Portuguese water dog, along with the entire Obama family.

Reminded that the last White House dog, Barney, once bit a reporter, Press Secretary Robert Gibbs suggested folks might want
to keep their distance.

The thousands of children and their parents who jammed the White House for yesterday's Easter Egg Roll were disappointed Bo didn't
debut then. But Gibbs says all those screaming kids would have been a bit much for the pooch to deal with.
