Mobile firefighters say a four year old is to blame for a house fire on Dubose Street.
Shortly after 11:00 a.m., a mother hear the smoke alarm go off. When she ran to check it out, she found her three children, a 2 year old and two 4 year olds standing in the hallway. When she saw the closet in a rear bedroom on fire, she got alerted her husband and they grabbed all three kids and got out.
One of the 4 year old later told the father they were playing with a lighter in the closet where the fire started.
The fire caused $8,000 in damage.
