Ten families are stranded in Semmes after nasty weather wiped out the only way in and out of their homes. Neighbors say it's the third time the bridge has washed out just this year. But, because Lake Haven Drive is a private road, each time, neighbors have had to pitch in to fix it. Now, they don't know what they're going to do because they say they've run out of money. They're making do with a temporary walk-way, "most of the people living here are poor people, I mean, you don't just go in a place like this here and just think you're in heaven," said stranded neighbor Joe Reed. Mobile County Commissioner Stephen Nodine, who represents the district, says there is nothing the county can do because it's a private road.
