COLLEGE PARK, Md. (AP) - Nothing draws college students to a porn movie like trying to ban it. About 200 University of Maryland
students have watched clips from "Pirates II: Stagnetti's Revenge."
Last week, administrators axed plans to show the triple X-rated movie, after a state lawmaker threatened to cut off funding
for the school. Last night's screening was organized by students in protest. They invited professors to join a discussion on the free
speech issues involved.
Gail Baltazar, a 22-year-old senior, says she found the sex scenes a little shocking. But she says she showed up because she wanted to make a point about free speech.
