Comcast Cable of Mobile is closing its customer service call center. Comcast Vice President and General Manager Ray Kistler tells News 5 all call center operations in Mobile are being moved to Comcast facilities in Huntsville. Kistler confirms around 40 employees have been laid off in Mobile. He says some of the affected employees have been offered jobs in Huntsville. Kistler says he thinks moving the call center from Mobile to north Alabama will improve service.
