Busted Bridge Strands Families

More stormy weather can make things worse.

Floodwaters have left nearly a dozen families stranded in Semmes.
Latisha Tanner showed us a picture she took Tuesday when storm water washed out a bridge.
Around 30 neighbors are having to use a board to walk across, then hike up a hill to their homes.

Mobile County can't do anything about it since it's a private road. Tanner says they've tried to maintain it after the developer died, but now they're desperate.
"We're asking for help with any money we could get because we're limited, we have no incomes to help get all this built, so it's gonna take a lot just to get us to and from across this thing,"Said Tanner.

The United Way went out to take pictures of the damaged bridge. They tell News Five they have to wait until the weather clears up to determine if they can help.
