Alabama State Troopers have another hit and run investigation on their hands. Authorities say 50 year old Gary Thomas was struck and killed while walking along Lott Road, just before midnight Friday.
This is the second hit and run in less than two weeks along Lott Road. 27 year old Nazanene Malahnejad was struck and killed during a hit and run September 16th. Authorities say Jose Martinez-Roa is accused of leaving the scene after hitting the Semmes woman, but later turned himself
in to troopers. He has since bonded out of Mobile Metro Jail. But while State Troopers look for another hit and run driver, people living along Lott Road are concerned for their safety. "It would help, if we had some lighting or widen the road or something, I mean I think it needs to be looked into,"Said Sandy Landry, who lives along Lott Road. State Troopers are looking for the driver of a two-toned, dark older model Chevy blazer. If you have any information you're urged to call Crimestoppers at 208-7000.
