SANTA ANA, Calif. (AP) - A family is suing Disneyland, claiming
their toddler was mauled by a dog at the park's petting zoo in
2006.
The suit filed Tuesday in Orange County Superior Court says the
German shepherd-Labrador retriever mix named Hemmingway attacked
2-year-old Lena Dickerson, biting her several times on the face and
leaving her permanently scarred.
The 6-year-old dog was adopted from a local shelter by a
Disneyland employee and brought to the theme park two weeks before
the attack, the suit says.
The lawsuit claims the shelter had called the dog "not very
social" and said it had a history of aggression.
Disney officials declined comment Wednesday, saying they do not
comment on pending litigation.
