Three people were able to escape a house fire last night in Fairhope. It happened around midnight at 111 Magnolia Avenue just off of Section Street near downtown. The Fairhope Fire Department responded and extinguished the fire. A spokesperson with the Fairhope Police Department told News 5 that three people were inside the home when the blaze started but they were able to escape. They were taken to a local hospital to be checked for smoke inhalation and scrapes. Fire officials say they will be okay. We will bring you more information as it becomes available.
