No Church No Steeple Just People

They raised money to build a church and someone stole the building supplies.

Members of a Prichard church saved for years to buy building supplies. Their plan was to build the church in phases.

On Thursday, the workers showed up to start the work and most of the supplies were gone. Giant beams, tin and metal piles were nowhere to be found.

The items were hauled off from the future home of Destiny Vision Christian Center on Dykes road.

Pastor Richard Nichols says he can't believe someone could do that. "It looks like they actually stole a piece at a time. It's the most craziest thing that's ever happened to me in 20-25 years of ministry. I don't know how to respond to it. I don't know whether to be angry or sad."

60-thousand dollars worth of material was taken. Prichard Police are investigating the theft.
