News 5 has leanred that an arrest has been made in the hit and run death of a 27-year-old woman from Eight Mile.
Nazanene Malahnejad was struck and killed on Lott Road Sunday night.
According to Alabama State Troopers, 40 year old Jose Martinez-Roa, of Eight Mile surrendered Friday afternoon at the trooper post in Mobile.
Martinez-Roa now faces one count of felony leaving the scene of an accident.
Troopers also impounded a brown, 1994 Chevrolet Astro van, which matched the description of the vehicle witnesses reported seeing in the hit and run.
