The University of South Alabama is tooting its own horn with the unveiling of new marching band uniforms. USA Band Director Ward Miller says the uniforms will reflect the school's colors of red, white, and blue. Miller says they wanted a classic collegiate look. The uniforms have the USA school logo on the front and on one sleeve. The new jaguar logo is on the other sleeve and on the back. Miller says the school wanted people to immediately recognize the band members as the University of South Alabama. The creation of a new marching band was announced in July. Miller hopes to have at least 125 members. He says a summer camp will be held in 2009, and the band will take to the field for the very first time in Fall of 2009. USA is recruiting members now.
