Alabama State Troopers say a Robertsdale woman and her 5 year old son died in a car accident Thursday night. Troopers say 26 year old Amy Hogue was driving a Ford pickup truck on Highway 98 near Elberta. Investigators say she was going around a curve, when she ran off the road and hit a billboard sign post. Troopers say she was wearing her seatbelt. Her son, Christopher Dylan Hogue, was sitting in a booster seat when the crash happened. He died at the hospital.
The boy's father, Christopher David Hogue, was flown to the USA Medical Center with what were described as non-life threatening injuries.
