Former Vice President Al Gore is back in Florida, the state he came so close to winning eight years ago.
This time, he's trying to convince Floridians to vote for Senator Barack Obama.
He explained how all the country's problems are related and why Obama is the solution."There is a common thread that runs through the economic crisis, the national security crisis and the climate crisis. That common thread is our ridiculous over dependence on expensive, dangerous, dirty, carbon-based fuels. Grab hold of that thread and you pull it and all those crises began to unravel and you hold the answer to all three of them right in your hand. It's time for renewable energy in this country, solar energy, wind energy, geothermal energy, insulation, new windows, new lightbulbs, a national unified smart grid, electric cars. We have the chance to really turn the page. And turning the page is what this election is about more than anything else."
Gore and his wife, Tipper, are also promoting early voting, reminding people that every vote counts.
