Dry weather is sending many to the doctor's office with allergies and sinus problems.

Dr. Jonathan Campbell of Bay Minette says he's seeing patients for allergies and sinus problems. Dr. Campbell says antihistamines can help with your itchy eyes, sneezing and scratchy throat. For more persistent cases, he says good prescription nose sprays and eye drops should do the trick.

Dr. Karen Flanagan in Brewton says patients are flooding her office with allergies this week. She says The most simple thing to do is to stay inside as much as possible. Also, if you do need to do some work outside, Dr. Flanagan says wear protective masks.

Dr. Joe Laughlin in Mobile says he's seeing cases of sinus infections and bronchitis. He says now is the time to get a flu shot. Dr. Laughlin says it not only protects you, but the shot prevents the flu from spreading to others around you especially babies and the elderly. Also, he says remember the golden rule: Cover your mouth when you cough and wash your hands frequently.***

Dr. John Van Derwood of Citronelle says he's still seeing cases of the stomach flu.
He says the best way to recover from this is to get plenty of rest and drink clear liquids.
If your symptoms last more than a day or two and you have a fever, Dr. Van Derwood says see your doctor.
