TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (AP) - Former Alabama and NFL quarterback Ken
Stabler will not return to the broadcast booth this season.
The 62-year-old Stabler has been on leave from his duties as the
Crimson Tide's color analyst since his arrest on a drunken-driving
charge on June 8. He was found not guilty on Wednesday by a judge
in Robertsdale.
He had been charged with DUI at least twice before.
Crimson Tide Sports Marketing general manager Jim Carabin told
The Birmingham News that Stabler's status will be reevaluated after
the season.
He said the current lineup won't change this season.
In a statement Thursday, Alabama athletic director Mal Moore
declined to speculate on Stabler's future.
