Two Killed In Escambia County Wreck

FHP investigators say speeding car missed curve, slammed into a track-hoe parked on the side of the road

The Florida Highway Patrol reports two men were killed around 4:45 this morning when the car they were riding in slammed into constrution equipment on the side of the road.
It happened on Blue Angel Parkway, just north of Bankhead Drive,
Troopers say the driver, 22-year old Clayton Helton II and the passnger, 22-year old Johnny Raybon, both of Pensacola, were prononced dead at the scene.
Investigators say Helton was travelling at a high rate of speed when he failed to make a curve and slammed into a track-hoe on the side of the road. According to Troopers, neither man was wearing a seatbelt.
