Marti Beech didn't confess to the alleged murder plot...but the mother of six didn't exactly deny it, either. Beech, charged with conspiracy to commit murder, talked to News 5 about what the case. Police say Beech planned on poisoning her husband with a horse painkiller.
PAT PETERSON: "We're you planning on killing your husband?"
BEECH: "No, I couldn't have carried through with it. I love my husband, don't get me wrong, I love him, but there are things behind the scenes that nobody knows about."
PAT PETERSON: "You said you can't kill your husband because you love him...but have you thought about it?"
BEECH: "Hasn't everybody? Whenever they get to a point that they've been pushed to the point they can't be pushed anymore, how many times has everybody said I wish they were dead?"
PAT PETERSON: "What else would you like to say about the case?"
BEECH: "I'll say it again, how many people has ever stood there and said they wish somebody was dead because of the mental cruelty and everything else you've been through?"
PAT PETERSON: "How are your children doing?"
BEECH: "I'd do whatever it takes to protect my children. I love my children and they love me."
Beech was in court Tuesday morning for her preliminary hearing. The hearing was continued until late November. Beech is out of jail on a 30-thousand dollar bond.
