Sheriff's deputies in Baldwin County are still talking about a wild call they responded to near Foley Wednesday night...a case involving burglary, a beauty salon and a cross-dresser! Wearing high heels, ladies clothes, and a blonde, Dolly Parton wig, Frederick Koetter attempted to break into the Curl and Style Salon on County Road 26. Koetter confessed to the crime and told deputies he wanted to see what it was like to live the life of the beauty salon owner.
"He just wanted to be like me," says salon owner Rose Stevens. "He wanted to sit in my chair, look at himself in the mirror and just be me."
Deputies say Koetter could have been obsessed with Stevens and was trying to act out a wild...and disturbing fantasy.
"I asked my grandson, why do you think he wanted to be me? And he said because you're so nice. And I said, well, I don't know about that."
Koetter was charged with burglary. He's being held in the Baldwin County Corrections Center on a five-thousand dollar bond.
