A creepy encounter for two girls walking near a cemetery...
According to Pascagoula police, two girls were walking down St. Peter Street near Greenwood Cemetery. As they ventured down the street, they were approached by a tall white woman with black hair and a little black dog.
The unknown woman asked the girls, "to go home with her." The girls said, "no, they had to go to school." The mysterious woman insisted the girls follow her. She asked them again, several times, before the two girls ran away.
When the children finally got to school, they told their story to school officials. The police were called, and an investigation began. Officers searched all over the area near the cemetery, but they found no trace of the mystery woman.
Although the woman never made any attempt to touch or physically coerce the girls, Pascagoula police aren't taking any chances, and have increased patrols in the area near the school and the streets where children walk.
Police are still searching for the woman from the cemetery. She is described as 5’10 to 5’11 with black hair. She was wearing black pants and a pink shirt, and walking a small black dog on a leash.
The Pascagoula Police Department is asking anyone with information about this incident or the identity of the woman to call the Police Department at 228-762-2211.
