Police thought they were investigating a wreck. But when they got there, the driver was slumped over in his driver seat, bleeding from a bullet wound.
According to police, 19-year-old Corey Landrum was shot before he crashed his Chevy pickup truck into a utility police at Turner Road and Dunlap Circle.
He was taken to USA Medical Center where he's listed in critical condition.
Landrum was last seen in the Alabama Village area, but investigators are still trying to piece together what led up to the shooting and who pulled the trigger.
