In 2005, Anthony Watson was living on the streets, addicted to drugs and alcohol. But Watson has turned his life around. The Pensacola man went from "Skid Row" to head cook at the Englewood Missionary Baptist Church.

"I hit some hard times," says Watson. "I know what it's like not to have. I had no home, no where to go, and I knew I had to turn my life around."

Watson and his fellow church members served up Thanksgiving Dinner to hundreds of people living near the church.

"I'm so truly blessed that I can be of some support and hopefully I can be a witness out there to some people. It feels real good to return the favor, I'm blessed."

The church cooked 26 turkeys and four hams. By the end of the day, more than 500 people were served.

Watson says he touched the lives of countless people this Thanksgiving. A gift Watson says is better than one found under any Christmas tree.
