BOYNTON BEACH, Fla. (AP) - Investigators say employees of a
South Florida towing company took down tow-away signs in a parking
lot then removed the cars of unsuspecting drivers.
Debra Corti, her son, Leonard Corti, and her daughter, Jessica
Corti, are facing more than 500 charges, including 390 felonies.
According to an arrest report, authorities set up surveillance
at the parking lot to watch the activities of Access Express Towing
and Transport.
The reports states that employees would remove signs from the
lot and wait for a driver to park. Police believe workers went
through the routine about 90 times over a six-month period.
