Bank Robber Hides In Attic, Falls Through Ceiling

Suspect curses out a News 5 photographer. Police say he robbed the Compass Bank on Bel-Air Boulevard, hid in the attic of an apartment and fell through the ceiling.

3:20 p.m.
- Police say 27-year-old Jeffrey Jones pushed the teller, grabbed an undisclosed amount of money and took off.
- Jones hid in the attic of an apartment on Emogene Street. He was arrested after falling through the ceiling
- Police also recovered the money from the robbery.
- Jones was charged with Federal Bank Robbery and transported to Mobile County Metro Jail.

11:20 a.m.
Mobile police have arrested a man accused of robbing the Compass Bank on Bel-Air Boulevard.

The robbery happened just before 11:00 a.m. Police arrested the suspect at the intersection of Florida and Emogene Streets.
