BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) - Alabama's Javier Arenas was named
Southeastern Conference special teams player of the week Monday.
The junior defensive back and kick returner from East Point, Ga.,
returned six punts for a school record 153 yards, including an 80
yarder for a touchdown in Saturday's 32-7 win over Mississippi
State.
Florida junior running back Percy Harvin is the offensive player
of the week. He rushed for a career high 167 yards, including two
touchdowns, to propel the Gators past South Carolina 56-6.
Vanderbilt junior cornerback D.J. Moore was named top defensive
player. Ole Miss senior offensive tackle Michael Oher took
offensive lineman honors. Florida junior defensive end Jermaine
Cunningham was named defensive lineman of the week.
Georgia freshman receiver A.J. Green is the freshman of the week
for his performance against Auburn.
