HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (AP) - Alabamians are seeking far more ticket
to President-elect Barack Obama's inauguration than will be
available.
Alabama's two U.S. senators, Republican Richard Shelby and Jeff
Sessions, are no longer taking requests for tickets because they
have been deluged with thousands of inquiries.
A spokeswoman for Obama's Alabama campaign chairman, Democratic
Rep. Artur Davis, says he has received more than 7,000 requests.
Members of the Alabama delegation don't know yet how many
tickets they will get to distribute. But a spokeswoman for
Democratic Rep. Bud Cramer says it's clear not everyone will be
accommodated.
