Prichard spokesperson Latoya Veal says the Prichard Police Department received to a call for someone shot around 8:30 p.m. in the Eight Mile area.
Officers went to a residence on the 3000 block of Stovall St near Bear Fork Rd.
According to Veal, when officers arrived on scene a 54 year-old man found inside a residence with multiple gun shot wounds.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Veal says at this time investigators have not determined a motive nor do they have any suspects.
