The approval or delay of the education budget could have a big impact on local systems like Mobile County Public Schools.
Superintendent Dr. Roy Nichols says if more money is given to higher education, then more money will be taken away from K through 12.
Dr. Nichols says he's prepared for less money, but more cuts may have to be made.
The Mobile County Public School System has approved cuts of more than $30 million dollars from the local school budget.
