A Texas man, accused of shipping 200 kilos of cocaine from his home in Houston to Mobile, pleaded guilty today in federal court

Daron Jones pleaded guilty to conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute cocaine. Federal prosecutors say Jones hired his two co-defendants to transport the drugs from Houston to the Port City.

As part of the plea deal, Jones also agreed to forfeit 5 luxury cars (2007, BMW M6, 2007 Mercedes S550, 2006 Maserati, 2006 Ferrari F-430, 2001 BMW X5), a piece of real estate in Houston, numerous pieces of jewelry, and more than $1,000,000 in drug proceeds.

The Mobile County Sheriff's Office put the brakes on the cocaine caravan January 7th. Deputies seized four kilos of cocaine from a Mobile man's car and he came clean. The rest of the pieces to this millionaire's puzzle fell into place from there.

Jones' two co-defendants have plead guilty last week. Jones faces a minimum mandatory sentence of twenty years to life in prison without parole.
