A Spanish Fort man accused of hitting two cyclists with his truck on Labor Day is now out of jail.

Prosecutors say Patrick Ballard was drunk and speeding when he crashed Bill Imle and Art Clemmons, Jr. on Bromley Road near Stapleton. Both men were killed instantly. Alabama State Troopers say Ballard didn't negotiate a curve, hit the men and was thrown from his vehicle.

Ballard was released Wednesday from the Baldwin County Jail after posting a $300,000 bond.
