NEW SMYRNA BEACH, Fla. (AP) - Authorities say alcohol might have
been involved in a single-vehicle crash that caused about 2,100
central Florida residents to lose power.
The New Smyrna Beach Police Department says a pickup truck
crashed into a power pole yesterday morning, causing the outage.
The 50-year-old New Smyrna Beach driver and two passengers were
taken to hospitals.
Authorities are investigating, and charges are pending.
