10 Year Old Admits To Breaking Girl's Hip

10-year-old girl says she pulled another girl off of monkey bars and stomped on her until she had a broken hip. Now two girls involved in the assault could be held in juvenile detention until they turn 21.

ERIE, Pa. (AP) - A 10-year-old Pennsylvania girl has admitted
that she assaulted a classmate by pulling her off a set of monkey
bars and stomping on her.
The girl and another classmate attacked the victim on an
elementary school playground after school hours April 3rd. The
victim, whose hip was broken, attended the hearing in a wheelchair.
The offender was is returning home today after more than two
weeks in a juvenile detention center. Her mother apologized to the
victim and her family, saying her daughter's behavior was out of
character.
The other girl accused in the case -- an 11-year-old -- has
admitted to one charge of harassment for throwing a cup of water on
the victim before the assault.
The two girls could be confined in a juvenile detention center
or otherwise be kept under court supervision until they turn 21.
