A mockingbird chases after and pecks anyone who gets too close. The situation is so bad that the safety staff at the Stephen F. Austin building has a memo to employees telling them beware of the bird.
Bird experts say the mama mockingbird is protecting her nest. They say once her little ones hatch, she will probably take her family and fly away.
Dozens of people say they've been pecked, but no one has been seriously hurt.
