Former Alabama Governor Don Siegelman was on the road Friday for nearly twelve hours. His family picked him up from the federal prison in Oakdale, Louisiana at 11:00 a.m. He arrived in Birmingham around 10:00 p.m. He was wearing his gray prison pants, and two t-shirts. He looked tired.
Siegelman held a short news conference near his home in Birmingham Friday night. He says when he found out that he was getting out of prison, he thanked God.
