Leroy Middle School teacher found guilty of enticing a child has been relieved of her duties as an English teacher. The 54-year-old is awaiting sentencing.

Charlene Schmitz has been fired from her position with the Washington County School system.
A Federal jury unanimously found the 54-year-old guilty on two counts of using a computer to entice a child last month.
Schmitz taught English at Leroy Middle School in Washington County. She was arrested last June after the mother of a 14-year-old boy gave police dozens of explicit e-mails she claimed Schmitz sent her son. Schmitz had been on paid administrative leave since her arrest. Charlene Schmitz is scheduled to be sentenced on May 8th. The U.S. Attorney's office says Schmitz faces ten years to life in prison.
