Chickasaw Child Porn Case

MOBILE, Ala. (AP) - An 18-year-old Chickasaw woman awaits
sentencing in Mobile federal court after admitting she took nude
photographs of two young relatives and e-mailed them to a Canadian
man she met on the Internet.
Rebecca Irene Junkins entered a plea agreement yesterday, a week
before was scheduled to stand trial on federal child pornography
charges.
Junkins faces up to 30 years in prison, but her defense attorney
hopes prosecutors will ask for a lighter sentence because his
client cooperated. But a prosecutor suggested that Junkins had to
accept the offer after a judge disallowed testimony from a
psychologist about her mental state.
Junkins is accused of using a sex toy on two girls under 12
years old and taking pictures of them naked, according to an
affidavit filed by the FBI. Investigators looked into the matter
after the children told their mother.
Federal authorities have said they are trying to find the man
who received the photos. According to court records, Junkins knew
him only as Jake.
