The decision by Boeing to protest the tanker outcome could put groundbreaking at Brookley Field on hold.

Work on the site was expected to start in about 30 days if Boeing decided not to protest.

Officials with Northrop Grumman and EADS will now wait to see if the Air Force will issue a stop work order.

Both companies are expected to set up a 600 million dollar facility on about 200 acres at Brookley Field.
