Train Crash Caught On Tape

AMAZING VIDEO Surveillance video captures the chaos from inside the train.

Surveillance video has been released in the crash of a municipal rail train
in San Francisco last weekend.

The crash happened Saturday afternoon when one train smashed
into another one that had been stopped. There were passengers onboard
the moving train and about a dozen of those people had to go to hospitals
for various injuries.

The surveillance video that was released shows the moments just
before the crash and shows what happened inside the train at the
moment of impact. Debris could be seen flying around inside the
train as well as glass crashing.

Investigators say the train that caused the crash was speeding, going
about 17-miles per hour when the train should have only been moving
at about 3-miles per hour. In addition to the speed of the train, the video
shows the train operator talking on a cell phone. Investigators say they
are now reviewing the cell phone records to see if he was talking on the
phone prior to and at the moment of impact.
