Spring Hill College Pays Tribute To Longtime President

Reverend Paul Smallwood Tipton served as the colleges 35th President. He made lasting changes to the school.

Spring Hill College celebrated the life of a man who left an impact at the school.
The Reverend Paul Tipton died last week. He was 69 years old.
A memorial mass was held at St. Joseph Chapel on Spring Hill's campus Wednesday afternoon.
Reverend Tipton graduated from Spring Hill in 1964 and returned eight years later to take over as president.
Tipton helped the school start up three new masters programs and helped preserve many of the campus' historic buildings.
He served 17 years as president.
