21-year-old Terrell Robinson, a former employee of the McDonalds Restaurant at 281 Schillinger Rd. South, has been taken into custody on several charges for holding up his former place of employment. Robinson went into the store around 11:00 p.m. last night and asked to speak with the manager on duty about his work schedule. The manager told Robinson that he was not on the schedule and that he had been fired. That's when Robinson pulled out a sawed-off shot gun and hit the manager in the face. After hitting the manager with the gun, Robinson forced him to open the restaurant's safe at gunpoint. He took money and tried to make his getaway, but was quickly caught by police in the area of Cody Rd. and Zeigler Blvd. Officers and investigators recovered the money and the sawed-off shotgun that Robinson used during the robbery. He now faces robbery, assault, and possession of a short-barrel shotgun charges.
